About me

Hello, I’m Wahyu

Writer. Scientist. Traveler. Speaker.

Welcome to my digital home. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a passion for technical precision meets a love for creative storytelling, you’re in the right place.

The Professional Side

By day, I immerse myself in the world of vacuum science and Thin Film Deposition. My fascination with Magnetron Sputtering stems from the incredible idea that we can engineer materials at the atomic level to solve global challenges. You’ll find my professional contributions and academic milestones over on my [Publications] page.

The Creative Side

Beyond the lab, I am a firm believer in the power of the written and spoken word. I spend my time:

  • Writing: Crafting everything from technical guides to personal essays.

  • Speaking: Helping others overcome the podium's shadow with public speaking tips.

  • Capturing: Documenting the world through my lens in my [Photo Gallery].

The Human Side

When I’m not analyzing a deposition rate or drafting a new post, I’m likely a few thousand miles from home with a camera in my hand. I travel to learn, to be humbled, and to remind myself that there is always a different way to see the world.

Why I Blog

I started this blog to bridge the gap between different worlds. I wanted a space where I could share a breakthrough in thin-film research alongside a photo of a sunrise in a distant city or a tip on how to handle stage fright.

I believe that being a specialist shouldn’t stop you from being a dreamer. Whether you are here for the science, the stories, or the scenery, I’m glad to have you along for the ride.

Pentingnya logika dalam hidup - The importance of logic in life

SLEEP TIMING TRICK SO YOU DON’T WAKE UP FEELING EXHAUSTED If you need to wake up at 7 AM Go to sleep at: 21:45 / 23:15 / 00:45 / 02:15 If you need to wake up at 8 AM Go to sleep at: 22:45 / 00:15 / 01:45 / 03:15 If you need to wake up at 6 AM Go to sleep at: 20:45 / 22:15 / 23:45 / 01:15 Why are the times so unusual? Because sleep works in cycles (about 90 minutes). If you wake up in the middle of a cycle, your body will feel more tired. A 90-minute sleep cycle is the basic time unit the brain uses to move through different stages of sleep repeatedly throughout the night. On average, the human body needs about 90 minutes to complete one full cycle—from light sleep to deep sleep, and finally to the dreaming phase. Source: REM NREM sleep cycle
